After the first interview, we were told we needed a co-sponsor. Despite the fact that, I, the U.S. fiancee, currently make $32,000, they did not feel that I made enough money during my previous years of work (in Guatemala). The second time were not approved again because we did not have an original signature on the I-134. The third interview was on Feb 2nd, at which time it was approved. My fiancee was asked three questions: have you ever been to the U.S. before? Have you been charged with any crimes? Is your fiancee in Guatemala? That was the end of the interview. He had to wait about three hours every interview for an answer. We are so relieved this part is over with! Please contact us if we can help with any questions. We will keep our timeline updated. |

Infopass appt on 2010-6-23 to ask for emergency travel document. Was told that it couldn't be done at local (Milwaukee) office. Called USCIS customer service and applied for expedited AP over the phone.
AP was approved one day after asking for expedited service! Not sure if this was due to expedite request, or simply if it was next in line. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
