Embassy Review : |
My fiance and I arrived at around 6:20 AM. They let everyone into the embassy around 6:40. We got out of there around 11:30 AM. Most of the time is spent sitting down waiting to be called to a a few different windows. First, they have a line to check over all your documents to make sure you are not missing something. After that you collect your documents in a folder in the order that they prescribe. This folder does not include any of the evidence of your relationship but pretty much everything else. Make sure you sign the affidavit of support beforehand even though the appointment package states not to sign anything. One of the people checking over our documents got annoyed with us because we did not have that specific form signed. After you get all of your documents checked you can sit down and wait for your name to be called. They call my fiance's name three times to three different windows. All of the windows were green but they were spread out all over the courtyard so you can sit anywhere there is available seats. It can be somewhat annoying to find available seats so try to grab them earlier and don't leave them unless you need to. They did not even want to talk to me. They only wanted to talk to my fiance so I was only there for moral support. All and all the process was pretty painless. You have to sit around and wait a while but they have vendors for buying food and drinks at affordable prices. Good luck.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
