Comments : This was one of those experiences that will stay with me for a life time. To bad the experience had to be a negative one. Although the final outcome was positive. This process is far more complicated or time consuming than it needs to be. Another government disservice. Thanks to VJ and its members for all their help. That was most positive and I am forever grateful to everyone for that.

Event Description

Embassy Review : My wife's interview was taken on Nov 3, 2010 but it didn't go well because she didn't have a original Marriage Certificate. It was an honest Mistake but a costly one. Make sure those in PI have your original NSO Certificates. She went immediately after the interview to the NSO office and the Embassy received a their Original 1 day later. My wife however didn't get any word from Manila Embassy until I got feed up and started calling Congressmen and Senators. 2 Days after I did that they delivered her Package on a Weekend... But who really care as their slow response cause my wife to miss her flight and then the snow ball grew. She finally arrived in the US on Feb 2. Save yourself from all of this by making sure you have multiple copies of your important document( Birth/Marriage/Police/ etc as well as a current passport. My wife renewed her passport and that is when she used her Marriage certificate because the passport office also needed an Original... But its all over now.javascript:emoticon('')

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
