Waited approximately 5 hours for the interview. All applicants are asked to arrive at 7:30am and then actual interview time is based on numbers called at random.
My fiance said the interview was approximately ten minutes long. The officer commented that our particular case was processed fairly quickly. She didn't ask many questions. She asked about my Egyptian heritage, what my family thought of me marrying an Egyptian (considering I am half Egyptian... not much, 3ady ya3ni), and about his trip to the US with me 3 months prior to the interview (went home for Christmas/New Years, met my extended family members and friends, did some sightseeing, etc.)
He was approved on the spot, left his passport, and was told that he would receive the visa within 3 weeks. It has been a month exactly and we're still waiting. That's Egypt for ya!  |
