Anxious for my interview, as I am currently 4 months pregnant. So hard on my fiance not being here with me through morning sickness and ultra sounds. |

I will be crossing at the Grand Portage location near Thunder Bay, On. I haven't seen any reviews for this POE, so I hope that they are nice when processing me to enter the States. |

AOS interview went well. We were told that we were approved pending the supervisor's ok. Crossing fingers that the green card arrives in a few weeks. |

Seems my review will sound similar to most post for Montreal.
My fiance and I arrived in line at 715, and we near the front of the line. At 730ish, the gaurd started to let everyone in. He doesn't talk much, but all you need handy is your interview letter and passport. Once inside, went through security, then off to wait for the elevator. Just a bit after 8, another gaurd came over and took us with the first group up to the processing floor. (we did not recieve a "letter" here as most have)
Out of the elevator we went in line, were given a check list and a number. Sat down and waited for our number to be called. Once called, we went up to the window and handed over all the info on the checklist. The lady was very nice to us and actually did joke with my fiance and I a lot about how organized I was. Then off to the cashier to pay our fee then back to take fingerprints. Then off to wait for interview.
We were called in to the small room and meet the IO. He was again very nice to us. He just asked questions comfirming some of our information, asked my fiance a few questions. He then double checked our folder and said that we were approved. I'm still smiling ear to ear. Then he gave me an information sheet for what to do once I crossed the boarder, then off we went to celebrate.
What I can pass on is this. Be organised and be in line early, (after 730 it seems everyone shows up in line)
Make sure that you have the ds-156 x2, 156k x1, 160 x1 +confirmation pg, supporting evidence for affidavit of support, and letter of intent. Of course you will also need birth cert and a copy, police report, 2 passport pics, and a copy of your passports bio page. I don't think it hurts either to dress a bit more conservative, dressy casual, shows that you take the interview serious.
Overall a great experience. All staff were very nice and easy to speak with. Now on to the AOS..eekks

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
