Very organised. Tony and I went quickly through security. We waited about 1 hour 45 mins to hand in paperwork. The woman was very rude and "off" with me like I was causing her too much work. We then waited about 45 mins and had a lovely man to interview us. The interview was short and painless...probably because Tony was with me.
In all we were in the embassy for 3 hours. Not bad at all! |

Embassy Review : |
Not too bad. It took just over an hour inline to the immigration officer. He was very nice, took the big brown envelope and opened it. Looked at my passport and visa. Asked when I was gettting married, where I was going to live. Took my finger prints and photo. He then explained that I needed to go to thru secondary processing. I worriedly asked what that was and he was nice and calm and explained that it was just procedure. He put my brown envelope and passport in a clear plastic folder that had a green trim (apparently green trim is for K1 holders). He then walked me to the green room. In the green room I was told to put my folder on the counter and take a seat. The IO processing my docs was intraining so his was boss was telling him what to do. Basically he entered a few things into his computer then asked me what my intentions were ( which made me laugh seeing as though it's obvious if it's a K1 visa). He also asked when I was geting married. He then informed me that he was giving me 90 and if I don not marry within that time I will have to return to the UK. He then smiled handed me my passport and said "welcome to the United States, congratulatins on the wedding and have a nice day".
SO in all not too bad...went to get my bags, customs, security again and was with my Tony all within 2 hours of landing. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
