Consulate Review: Juarez, Mexico Review Topic: K1 Visa Event Description Review Date : October 16, 2013 Embassy Review : My overall experience in Juarez goes beyond all my past expectations in a positive way, everything I planned was well worth it and even useless at some point, Juarez people are very lovely to bad all the bad rep they are getting, I travel from Tijuana to Juarez by car with no problem what so ever, roads are very safe and the city in general seems Ok, so moving on, I used trip adviser and Google map to pick my hotel and places to hang out javascript:emoticon('') I decided to stay at the IBIS Hotel but really most hotels seems good enough, the price was right though, right below 50 dollars, the medical exams just like everything else is treated like a national security secret so no point in trying to dig into it, I apply for for a K-1 so i didnt need vaccinations and got my results right away, word of advice? if you ever been in problems with the law, have tattoos or drug abuse make yourself available at least two days before your visa appointment, it seems useless to lie since they will take a blood sample, physical evaluation and probably will check some police database and what will make this part to delay the fact is that you may end up in psychiatric evaluation and subconsequently your exams results will be delay, on they date of your appointment get there on time, unless you have a 7-710-715-730 appointment you can make line 1 hour before to be served first, otherwise just get there on time there is really no point on be there before, the line is not that long and the waiting time will be painful anyway, there is TWO winds, ONE for to gain access to your appointment and another to have your documents STAMPED javascript:emoticon('')GET TO THE NORTH WIND BEFORE MAKING A LINE, they need to stamp your documents first and what seems to be a long line is really not since all those people on the south line are not there to get a visa like yours, my appointment was very short and not very intrusive javascript:emoticon(''). Where did you guys meet? How long did you guys have been dating? is your fiancee a US citizen? Where does she work / do / work position? Ever been in problems with the law? Do you speak English? does she speak spanish? and about 5 other personal questions not really related to me/us. In general I have a few suspicions/tips: I think every department that sees your application or information GAVE YOU A RATING or RECOMMENDATION on whether approve or denied you a visa, that included the USCIS and the MED EXAMS, the clerk that receive your documents and finally the the person that do the interview, I only base this in the fact that my interview was very short and i didn't have to pull anything other than my GF W form and ds-156 and ds-156k. Use VJ guide to the letter and beyond when filing your I-129F, think of it like your life depend on it, do anything in your power to make it look like a professional lawyer did it for you and not like a kid did it, my GF got a huge complement on the work i did on our I-129F at the USCIS office. Make small talk, in real life this is always very important, so just break the ice. Have a dress code enforce, I don't mean a suit up, but no shorts or funny t-shirts Rating : Very Good
