Comments : Appears that having exited the US during my first (tourist visa) stay at the Niagara Falls Rainbow Bridge meant that my passport was flagged by their USCIS staff as a potential illegal immigrant risk.

Since having gotten green card, I exited the US at VT/QC border without hassle. Then went to Niagara Falls Rainbow Bridge exit again, and upon re-entry they had to adjust my flag (I presume, as we were pulled out of the car and asked to wait 5-10 minutes) Since having that issue have transited same border crossing twice without issue.

Event Description

Embassy Review : Long wait! Annoyingly so. Seemed like people who came in after us were served before us! I guess it might be to do with different things requiring different staff to complete them.

Staff member was polite, friendly but direct and to the point. Some funny comments saw her nearly laughing but then she regained control and proceeded.

Was EXTREMELY happy to get an on the spot approval. There was a scare when the Green Card approval letters came as it looked like she approved us, then someone checked our status and re-approved us a day later, meaning we got a scary letter then a second approval letter.

Otherwise, all OK.
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
