Consulate Review: Guangzhou, China
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 9, 2009
Embassy Review : My finance attend citizen hour three days before my interview. He brought all financial supporting documents with him. The VO went through the documents and checked in their system, seems no problem for our case.

Later I went to interview. The whole process was around 5 hours (from 6:30am stand in the line to 11:30 come out). I subimitted all financial supporting documents before the interview, including 3 years tax forms, 3 years W2, house certificate, evaluation form, pay stub, electricity bill, stock form, etc.

The interview was conducted by window No.23 VO. Questions are raised as: Who applied you? Where he lives? What is his job? How you meeting each other? When that happened? (During these questions, I told VO lots of things, include how many times he comes and how long each time he stays etc. ) Then he asked about pictures. I handed in and explain all the way along while he is looking. Who is this, where we are, what he is doing, why we take a picture like this..blablabla....

Then that's all, approved.

Didn't require for chatting records (although I made 7 bookes, each book 60 pages). No requirement for telephone records, emails, etc. (Although I have all of them).
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
