Consulate Review: Guangzhou, China
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 30, 2009
Embassy Review : We had our interview at 7:15am on 11/23/09. At 5:15 we standing in line with nine other people, but at 7:10 they sepearated the lines by appointment times. Now there were about four lines with about 100 people and we move up to second in line. Around 7:30 they started letting people in,but allowed U.S. Citizens in first who were there for other reason. My fiance was ask 20 questions which made the interview last between 15-20 minutes. The interview was done by a tall beautiful american woman and both spoke chinese during the process. My Qianqian said lot of people were not getting the pink slip, even though they spoke good english and had a very short interview. My fiance also had her 15 year old daughter with her for the K3.Her daughter was with her and was not asked any questions. Here are a few I thought were hard qustions she was asked? 1.When did your fiance get divorced?

2.How many children does he have?

3.How old is his oldest child? 4.Where does his ex-wife live?

5.How many children live with his ex-wife?

6.What names do we use for each other? 7.Was told that her english was not good and what do we talk about?

The evidence they looked at were 60 pictures of us and family members, about also about 70 pictures of which I took of her while we were on QQ and copies of our QQ messages.I also dated and signed these (QQ)pictures.I even wrote her name and I Love You in chinese on the QQ pics. In the end we were approved. After being told the good news her daughter started bowing and saying thank you thank you over and over.I would highly recommend staying with Mr.Yang and his wife they were very helpful. They help us with airline tickets and looked over our papers. It took 5 days to get visa, thursday was a holiday and we picked it up on saturday.Sorry for any typing errors and also my family and I would like to thank all the members for all thier hard work and support!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
