Embassy Review : AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!!! The interview was scheduled for 12 noon and we arrived 45 minutes early. There was no need to be early because the doors do not open until noon. So, we went to a nearby restaurant (soda) near the Embassy and had an early lunch and practiced questions and answers for the interview. After lunch we went back to the Embassy and entered by showing our Passports and went through a short security checkpoint where they looked at Elsie\'s unopened medical exam papers and then stapled them closed again. We went through the airport style metal detector and directly across a courtyard to the waiting area for those getting the Immigrant Visas. (Other people seeking a visitors visa had to wait in an outside area.) At the door, we were given a ticket number which would be called when it was our turn. We entered this waiting area which was very comfortable...air conditioned, etc. and took our seats. There are digital displays of the numbers being called displayed in several areas of the room. We were 3rd in line. Our wait was very short...about 20 minutes. I will divide the interview into two parts: 1) Organization of our papers where we were called to window #9 and a very kind and understanding woman had a checklist where she asked for our papers in a particular order. She was exceptionally nice and very gracious. She complimented us on our organization of the papers and was impressed that we had everything. (Thanks VisaJourney!!!) Though she asked us several questions, they were just in the course of conversation with Elsie and this put everyone at ease. I cannot say enough good things about this woman...she was simply EXCEPTIONAL!! After she organized our papers, she told us to be seated again and wait to be called to window #7. 2) At this window was the point where the \"interview\" occurred and another very nice woman asked several questions...very simple ones, really. How did you meet Franc? How long have you been together? How many times has Franc come to Costa Rica and does your family like him? Does she have other family members living in the USA? How many children does Franc have? After those few questions, she began explaining the process of immigration to Elsie and told us to return to the Embassy on Tuesday after 3pm to get her Passport with the Visa and the sealed envelopes which may not be opened under any circumstances. She emphasized this very clearly and made sure that Elsie understood. That was it...we were out of the Embassy in about 2 hours. Really, I cannot say enough good things about our experience. It was SUPER!!!!!!!

Embassy Review : DENVER CO. POE REVIEW: Truly a NON-EVENT. We arrived and went through the same CIS lines as everyone else. We waited about 10 seconds before we were called to the next window and gave our passports to the officer. He looked at them and saw that Elsie and Anthony were coming on K-1/K-2 Visas and asked us for the sealed envelopes that we received at the Embassy in San Jose. He set them to one side, stamped their passports and I-94 cards and said, "Welcome to the United States of America!" We were through with everything in less than one minute.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
