Embassy Review : It all went fine, slowly but fine. I think it was because my appointment was at lunch time and the COs were leaving their windows to go eat.

I arrived at the consulate like at 10:00 my appointment was at 11:15 there was a long line of people with appointments at 11:00 but it wasn0t for recidency so go to the front and ask because when we did, they let us in another line.

Then they divide you depending on the type of visa you are getting and you go in, you have to take off your belt and put your stuff in a thing like the ones at the airport, again, no cellphones, cameras nor anything electronic, also no keys not anything like that, also no makeup, don't risk it they'll make you throw it in the trash.

After you do that they take your appointment letter and give you a number you go in to wait in a outside tent and you have to stare at the screens with numbers and the number of the window you have tog o, they'll call your number to a window and you have to give your medical there, they ask you about your information to check if they have it right and then send you to put your fingerprints then you go to wait again.

Don't worry if you see higher numbers than yours they'll call you eventually.
When you see your number you go to your window and they ask you who's petitioning and to swear the truth.

They didn't ask much just if i had been married before, if my husband had, how we met, and she asked if i had pictures of us and i did, i showed them to her and after she saw them she said congratulations you've been approved and i went to pay DHL and that was it.

A lady who went in before me had her stuff done like an hour before i did, and i suspect it was because of the lunch hour.

Rating : Good

Embassy Review : I arrived 30 minutes before my interview (scheduled for 10:30), went through security, had to take shoes off get keys out of my bag and all that. Went in and we were the only ones in the waiting room. At like 10:35 the officer came out and called me, no chit chat or anything as soon as we walked in his office he asked me to swear to tell the truth and I did. After a couple of minutes of him just looking at his computer without saying anything he went through all the questions super fast, made me read a phrase then told me the answer to write on the ipad and started asking me the civics questions, no segway or anything. They were easy questions, like the capital of my state got 6 right and he moved on to ask me a couple more questions in the application. Gave me a sheet of paper that said I passed and told me my ceremony would be scheduled soon and it would probably be in the city where I live, so no more traveling. I spent a total of 15 minutes inside with the officer, it was quick an easy. Overall great experience.

A couple of hours later the status had changed on the web saying recommended for approval, a couple of hours more and it said my oath was going to be scheduled and a couple more ours and it said my oath had been scheduled.

The day after my interview my oath letter was in my documents. javascript:emoticon('')

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
