Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 9, 2009
Embassy Review : My fiance had to get three vaccinations before the interview, that's OK, I guess. We arrived at the embassy at 5 til 7 in the morning. We waited about two hours before Lina was called up to window 29 and they reviewed our paperwork. Everything was there so we were sent to window 2 for her fingerprints. We waited 15 minutes for that and then we waited for her interview. Two hours later, Lina was called up to window 4. They asked her some questions about how we met and where and when I proposed to her and then they asked me the same questions, alone, to see if our answers matched, I guess. Well they matched and she was approved. We left the embassy at 12:45 and received our visa three days later at the Domesa delivery office. We are now back in Orlando and are planning on getting married Friday, June 12th, 2009. Keep the faith and good luck to everyone.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
