Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 21, 2009
Embassy Review : Everything went well and actually was a lot quicker than I thought! My appointment was for 10, cleared security by 9.45 and was out by 12. I just found it a bit difficult to hear the first officer I dealt with. The room was really busy (as it always is I guess!) and it didn't help being near to a giant fan, plus her accent was a bit difficult to understand. Another personal thing - I really didn't like being questioned by her as to why I was on antibiotics - it doesn't really have anything to do with the visa!

I was shocked when I was called for my interview so soon and had to gulp down the cup of tea I'd just bought. The guy I dealt with said "Lets get this done quickly cos I know you've been waiting for a while", I said "It was faster than I thought". Very nice guy and over and done with in about 2 mins.

My only real issue is the fact that I had to go all the way down to London when there's a US Consulate in Edinburgh!!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
