Embassy Review : |
My interview was on 9th July. Appointment was for 9 30 but I got there at 8am via Gould's Pharmacy where I left my mobile. Got through security fine and was given ticket I861 - so I think there were 11 immigrant people before me. I had been in the embassy before to pick up a J visa a few years ago and it hadnt changed much. Was called up at about 9 30 to speak to the first guy. Nice British guy at window 1, he handed me back my x ray and took all my docs... passport, photos, birth cert + copy, police certificate + copy, I 134, tax returns, employer letter, pay stubs. He said everything looked in order but the co would have the final say. I paid for my visa and sat down with the courier form. I read the paper and waited a bit longer until i heard my number, was only about 40 minutes after i had seen the first guy. I was up at window 16 and it was the young friendly american guy. He was very friendly, made me swear to tell the truth and he just started asking in a friendly manner where we met, if i had been in trouble with the police / immigration, what julie does andwhat i hope to do in the future. Then he said everything was in order and congratulations. And that was it! I went and paid for my visa and left the building a very happy boy. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
