Comments : Interview in Newark went surprisingly fast. Interviewer was very professional, but did not hesitate from making small jokes (about the wife having Macy's card already, etc...). Standard "how did you meet", "what type of ceremony did you have", etc.. questions. Looked through our pictures and 'common' documents. Waited for the interview about 30-40 minutes, in-and-out in 1 hr.

Comments : Received NOA on Aug 22, 2012 stating our request to lift conditions has been approved. Looks like the amount of work at the DHS is getting to be too much as our request was approved without an interview (we did include A LOT of evidence, though).

Member Reviews:

Consulate Review: Warsaw, Poland
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 6, 2009
Embassy Review : Interview process took about 1 hour.
Fiancee was asked 2 questions about family in the U.S. and willingness to marry...me .
The consular officer then took the paperwork, but was mainly interested in the I-134 (which I had to notarize, but did not include tax returns with).
Tourist visa was then voided and replaced with a K-1.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
