Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan

Event Description

Embassy Review : My Wife had her Interview on June 1st. The overall process was smooth, but to get to and from the bus area to Embassy is the test of patience.

The Interview letter would say 7 am or 7.30 am interview, but it does not matter as long as you are the bus area around 6 to 6.30, but usually they do not give out tickets before 6.45am.

Police Certificate is not required for processing at Islamabad even if it says on your interview letter just ignore it ( they just have a general format for interview letter they just copy and paste) - Take wedding photographs and any other vacation pictures.

Once you are inside the Embassy the process is pretty simple as 1, 2 and 3.

Step 1 - Fingers Prints

Step 2 - Document collection originals ( Birth Certificate, Nikkah Nama Urdu And English translation and Nadra Marriage Certificate )

Step 3 - Interview - Prepare questions like how do you guys know each other? how did you get married? where does your spouse works? when and how your spouse got to United States? how do you guys communicate?

Overall it was an excellent experience.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
