Contacted senator 1-16. Response on 1-23 was we are in security checks. Had infopass appt on 2-10. Said paperwork is with a supervisor.-
3-16-09 Received letter from congressman - out of background ckecks should receive notice within 30 days.
We had a very hard time in Juarez. We have a baby and I put my fiance's name on the birth certificate. I told the hospital we were common law married, because I wanted his name on birth certificate. The officer in Juarez made him leave consualte and go get me. Then they interviewed us both. Basically, they thought he was in US for the birth of our son and thought we were lying about previous entry, which we were not!!! Anyway after hours of grilling us, a supervisor in JUAREZ approved the visa! YEAH!!!! Finally. |

We had an interview by a really nice officer, who usually works citizenship interviews. She said she couldn't approve us without her supervisor reviewing the info, but that things looked good. How awful! More waiting. We got the email confirmation 4 days later that we were approved!!! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
