Consulate Review: Morocco
Review Topic: Direct Consular Filing
Event Description
Review Date : December 24, 2008
Embassy Review : They treated my husband very well from start to finish. We petitioned on October 21st got a phone call for the interview in on November 22nd and he had his interview on December 22nd. He was aproved that day and told to go pick up his visa the next day. He picked up the visa at 3 pm on December 23rd and now we are back home in Zaio trying to make plans to go home. Above all they Consulate received great ratings from us both.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Chicago
Event Description
Entry Date : 2009-01-20
Embassy Review : We both came into Chicago O'Hare and he went to one line and I went to another to stand in line for immigration. He waited patiently for about 20 minutes and he was photographed and fingerprinted and then he was given a pink slim notebook and told to go get his luggage and go wait in another room with other people. He says he was the last one they called on and they just looked at his file and did not ask him anything only this question "why did you choose this day to come to the US?" Since it was Innaguration Day. Anyway, I waited outside in the international hallway with everyone else for their family for about 1 hr and 1/2. I got worried because it seemed like such a long time. And some family members of mine waited with me who were from Chicago. Finally he came out and was all smiles and we ate at the airport with my family and we went on to board another flight to Austin.
Overall immigration/customs did ok with him.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
