Our case was expired because we did not have a co-sponsor. When we found someone NVC graciously reinstated our case. It was a huge relief because we thought we would have to refile from the beginning.
We originally had also filed I-129F in 2006 but it also expired without a co-sponsor. When our I-130 was reinstated we did not even try to pursue or reinstate the I-129F. We just thought it would be better to go with I-130 all around since we had already been married so long.
And we thought it might go faster now because our case was so old. And it did seem to be moving very quickly from reinstatement compared to the slow movement of the origial paperwok. But that could just have been our imagination. We don't really have a case to compare our siutation.
However, we did think we waited a long time from completion of our case on August 21, 2008 until Interview date January 4, 2009. We had hoped it would be sooner. His interview was successfull and hus Visa has been approved and we are waiting nervously and hoping that it will not take very long since they kept his passport at the interview. |
