Consulate Review: Sydney, Australia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 1, 2009
Embassy Review : The Interview was for my fiance (the beneficiary). He mention to me that it was really good and straightforward. The staff was really nice. He arrived at the consulate 30 minutes before scheduled and finish about an hour and a half later. The interview took less than 5 minutes and they did not ask him for any evidence of relationship whatsoever! In fact, as long as you have everything in order, that is you pass the medical, pass the police check, and are above the poverty line with your co-sponsor you'll be fine! We were worried because back in September of 2008 Matt was denied a B1/B2 visa... but the consular officer didn't even mention anything about that and it turned out it was the same officer than interviewed him and denied the B1/B2 VISA! So all in all, nothing to worry about as long as you pass everything and have no problems with the law or medical!!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
