I was really surprised by how short my interview was. On the appointment letter it said it could take up to two hours. My interview, however, took about 20 minutes! First I did the quiz. I got the first six questions right, so we didn't go any further. Then I just had to read the sentence "Who lives at the White House?" I then wrote the sentence, "The President lives in the White House." My interviewer went over my application next. It was very laid back and I didn't feel at all pressured to remember exact dates I traveled outside of the U.S. etc. In fact, of all the evidence I was told to bring to the interview, they only required my passport, green card, drivers licence and most recent bill! All the photocopying (and extra set of photos) were not requested or used. My interviewer was very nice and made me feel so comfortable. She told me that she was recommending me for citizenship and I would hear from them as to when my ceremony would be within the next two months. I can't wait!!! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
