The dates when we received our packages (3 and 4) are so late, because we had to pick them up at the embassy. Both packages were lost by the polish postal services... They were both sent two weeks before we finally got them. |

Newark POE wasn't bad. No lines at all. The only problem was a long wait in the immigration office. An hour of waiting felt like forever after a long flight. |

I did not get approved during the interview, but I did receive the "Welcome to the USA" letter the next day. I went back to the local office for an Infopass appointment and they stamped my passport. |

Embassy Review : |
We just got back from the embassy, everything went smoothly . Our interview was scheduled for 8:45, and w left the embassy around 10, so I guess it was pretty quick. First they took all the documents (it helps when you put it in the exact order they request, btw they said that they didn't require any tax info for K3), then we waited for about 30 minutes, and they took my fingerprints, and we paid for my visa. After another 20 or 30 minutes we had our interview, which was very quick and painless. We were joking around with the CO and we didn't need to show her any evidence. She said it was obvious that we're married, from the way we interacted with each other. So it helps to have your spouse there and act natural.
Good luck to everybody! We're out! |

Embassy Review : |
Getting to the States through Newark was pretty smooth. There were no lines at all at the passport control, which was really surprising (I flew to Newark a couple times as a visitor, and the lines were always very long). After finger scan and a short small talk with an officer I was led to the immigration office (my husband had to wait outside, even though we were flying together). I was waiting for an hour until they finally got to my case. The interview was very short, they just informed me that I have to adjust my status within 2 years. The only surprise was the fact that there was a mistake in my K3 visa. They've put my father in law as a petitioner instead of my husband. So I encourage everybody to check all the documents you get from USCIS or the embassy. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
