Local US CIS Office Review: San Diego CA
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : August 8, 2009
Embassy Review : We arrived at 9:40am thinking we had a 10am appointment (it was 10:30am) and after passing through security we placed our interview letter in a tray and waited....for over 2.5 hours We weren't called for our interview till after 12:30. We watched as dozens of people who arrived after us were called first...

The interview itself was fairly painless, we were seated and asked for our ID, Passport, birth certificates and marriage certificate. We were then asked for joint financial documents, which she made photocopies of. I (benificiary) was asked a number of questions about how me met, when, why did I want to marry him, when did I last enter the US, have I left since and then some basic security questions: am I a terrorist etc.. :P We both signed a document stating that if we do not file for removal of conditional status by the said time I will be deported. She looked over our wedding album, but did not ask to see additional pictures since the wedding.

She told us she is recommending approval for our case and to expect the green card in 7-10 days!! She did not take the 1-94 or EAD.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
