12/17/2008: We got the VISA in hand! The delivery guy says that she HAS TO attend some seminar? I guess it's another way they're making money off of us. Probably a lot of crap but I'm sure they won't inform the attendees they have to fill out an immigration and customs forms on the plane. On the way back from the PI I sat next to a girl who was on a fiance visa, she had no clue so I had to help her fill out the forms...
12/15/2008: Just waiting for the VISA to be delivered. Should be delivered anytime now. DELBROS's website tracking...

12/05/2008: We're APPROVED! We went to our interview today. It took kind of long from start to finish but it's so worth it. Went to stand in line at 5:45am and we left the embassy at around 11am. TIP: Lots of people there trying to get in, lots of confusion but you need to speak up to find out if you're in the right place, right line etc... Double and triple check your papers, make sure you have TWO copies of your 156, 157 & 156k forms. Even if they took a copy at your medical exam, get another one anyway.
11/05/2008: We had to move our interview date to Dec 5th because we thought that Nov 21st might be a little too early. We will do our medical exam towards mid or late November. Pray that everything goes well from here on!
10/29/208: I called to inquire and found out that the embassy will not be sending out Packet #3. I did get an interview date though, with some time to prepare. I hope everything goes well from here on... :)
10/04/2008: Just got our NVC notice in the mail! Our Petition is on it's way to the Consulate in Manila! |

Overall it turned out good because we got APPROVED! The only thing is going over there early in the morning. (it was raining and we caught a cab from across the street lol!). Lots of people trying to get in, if you don't stand your ground they will go around (and in front) of you... Have your papers ready, you will have to show your appointment confirmation to get in. After you get in you will have to sign-in and wait for your turn. Interview was pretty quick (probably five minutes or so), pay a few fees and get out. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
