Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 8, 2010
Embassy Review : Well ... Muhammad's interview was at 8:00 Jan 7Th, in which he was interviewed by a lady. He said she was very nice and tried to make him feel comfortable as she could see that he was nervous. Only documents she asked to see was our nikha and his police clearance documents. Which he only had his police clearance from Islamabad. So ... He got the blue paper saying he needs to get that. As for the questions she asked. Here as follow :
1) How did we meet
2) What year did we meet
3) When did I convert to Islam
4) What is my name. ( I suppose the reason for that is because he always calls me by my Islamic name.)
5) Asked if any of my family attended, which answer was no, she then asked why they didn't.
6) Asked what my occupation is , which I'm a CNA ,so she asked what is a CNA.
7) She ask what is the name of the place I work at.
8) She asked what are a few of my friends names

His visa was approved , but was told that he has to get police clearance from Swat. And once he has it , to contact FedEx so that they can bring it to the Embassy.
And of course he was put on AP. Muhammad said from what he could see everyone that had an interview that day was put on AP.
Overall experience was good.

Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
