We provided all the necessary info regarding proof of relationship. The questions were straight forward and exactly what we expected. She didn't tell us we were approved, but said we probably would be and took my wife's visa. We haven't been worried about the result, although we do know now that my wife is a conditional permanent resident. Hurry up greencard! This experience was a breeze, compared to some of the previous experiences that we've had with USCIS.

It's completely backwards but hopefully it will all work out well in the end. Update 8/31: just received the green card. Awaiting word regarding citizenship .
