Approved: basic interview...asked questions such as when and how we met, our ages (and age difference), why she moved here (me), what I do for a living, when we were married, if she is a spy, if she has a criminal history, if she is wanted by her government...asked for photos...asked for supporting evidence such as insurance cards, bank account, lease with both of our names on them.
edit (2/26/2012): Name spelled incorrectly on green card. Made an infopass appointment and they gave us a form to fill out and send in, accompanied by a letter stating all names were spelled correctly on our submitted documents. We sent this document about 6 weeks ago and just received an appointment for biometrics (again). After biometrics we will receive word to get a temporary stamp in her passsport to serve as green card until another card is processed and mailed out. |

Embassy Review : |
She told me that the interview was not difficult, although she was a little bit nervous. The male CO - a Russian speaking American guy - was very nice and professional (a mix of friendly and serious). Her overall impression of the embassy was positive and said the immigrant line was quite short compared to those waiting for non-immigrant interviews. She said all those she was waiting with were approved (family visas but not all K-1). Her appointment was for 0800 and she was the last one interviewed from the early appointments. She was done by 1030.
Questions asked:
When did you first meet (become acquainted)?
When was your first meeting (in person)?
How many times did you meet?
What is his son’s name (who is he)? Where does he live?
Do you know about criminal history (small stupid arrest in college)?
Do you have any photos? Any photos with your mother?
What does your mother think of him?
What date did he propose?
What is your profession (beneficiary)?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
