Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 18, 2009
Embassy Review : Stayed in Montreal for a week as I had to do my medical. Booked a hotel through hotwire, $46 US a nite for the Comfort Inn. Nice hotel with walking distance to everything I needed while I was there for the week. Got to the consulate about 5 to 7 in the morning. I could type out the whole thing but its pretty well the same as most people have posted on here. Was out by 10am. Parked just around the corner from the consulate, cost $12. Had a quick bit to eat afterwards with a fellow V'jer. All and all pretty painless.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: CDN-USA Border
Event Description
Entry Date : 2009-09-04
Embassy Review : Crossed at Sault Saint Marie, ON. All and all I think I was there about 1/2 an hour. POE officer Anderson was a 10+. There was another officer I didn't get his name who did my import on my car. Very friendly, no problems at all. I had a list of everything I had in my car. They gave me my list back. My furniture and other stuff we are going to go back and get after AOS. Congratulated me and said Welcome to the United States!
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
