Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : JFK
POE Date : 2008-11-04
Got EAD Stamp : Yes,Passport Stamp
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Procedure was quick and simple. I got in the regular immigration-visitor line which moved slowly, I waited for one hour exactly. Then I got to the officer who was friendly and asked no quetsions, I just handed him the white form from the plane, passport and envelope and from then on it took at the most 10 minutes. Asked about the EAD he reacted surprised that I would even ask and said that I would of course get one but from a different guy. I then was sent down a hallway to a desk on the other side of the luggage claim, handed another officer the forms from the envelope and waited another approx. 10 minutes, then I was sent on my way with the EAD-stamp. All in all easy, but with the waiting time it took roughly 90 minutes. Nothing scary about it though.

Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 23, 2008
Embassy Review : As everybody else before me stated: the interview in Frankfurt is neither hard nor scary. My interview was at 9.30, I was there at 9.15.
(Although it should be pretty clear, absolutely no cell phones are allowed. I knew that but there were two people standing outside who were scrambling around trying to figure out how to dispose of their's temporarily.)
When I came in my number was already on the screen, the lady told me I had to get new passport photos because I had my glasses on in mine, I really thought I had read every piece of instruction often enough but I must have missed it. I could do it right there, the photo booths charge 6 Euros which I found surprisingly moderate for their setting. Everything else was really simple and the way everybody else told it, I was just asked to explain a little how my fiancé and I met.
I was done at 10.45, so the whole thing took 90 minutes.
One more thing, I forgot to send passport photos with the forms of packet 3 and was told to bring them today but they didn't ask for two more, I only had to submit one photo today.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
