My SO's interview was today and she passed.
Details:
1. Arrived at the Consulate at 7AM, and the lines were disorganized.
2. Security Guard came with a megaphone and organized lines
according to interview time.
3. It took forever to get inside the building, but eventually entered at
7:45 AM.
4. We stayed together for awhile on the 4th floor.
5. 10 minutes later she allowed to enter the 4th floor (gave her a big
SMOOCH) and eventually the 5th.
6. Waiting! Toilet Break! Waiting! Toilet Break! Waiting!
7. At 10:55, wife appeared with a big smile and holding that pink
paper.
8. Took another toilet break.
9. Her details:
a. Handed in the medical package; she was told to open it; the lady asked a few questions; handed in the AOS; same lady asked a few more questions.
b. Paid the IV Fee, and took the receipt to the medical window; SO was now given a number (for fingerprinting and interview).
c. Fingerprinting was next and then the interview.
d. The VO was a young Asian woman, and asked few questions. My wife spent about 1-2 minutes only. Got the congratulations!
e. After interview, did the visa pickup scheduling and fee paying.
10. Visa will be picked up 2 days later. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
