Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : Well, very anti climatic but a huge relief its finally over and done with!!
Ok arrived at Victoria Stn at 645 and had a quick walk up to Goulds Pharmacy on St Audley street which opened at 0730hrs. When i got there a few other people were also dropping stuff off, which is £5 by the way.
I got two new pictures done to be on the safe side as my others were 8-9 months old. Again £5 for two.
Walked back to the Embassy and joined the queue, about 0745hrs
A young lady was wandering around with small clear plastic bags and telling folk to put any loose change, watches, rings, belts etc inside (basically anything metallic) Ladies if you have a small bag then everything can go inside that from what I could see.
After 5-10 minutes we started to filter thro security. There's a small check mid way where they check your passport and interview letter.
Got through security no problems although they made me drink half my bottle of pop, to prove it wasn't liquid semtex I guess???
Walked round to the VISA entrance and picked up my number at 0815hrs (5006) and took a seat.
About 40 minutes later I was called to window one where the guy asked me to confirm my name and asked for my passport. He then couldn't find my medical records until it clicked that my interview had been brought forward. He went off again and came back with my X ray and notes. He then ran thro the checklist of what he needed, birth certificate, marriage certificates and divorce certificates, police certificate and affidavit of support.
He seemed quite surprised that I had photocopied all of the above but was quite impressed! Took my fingerprints and handed me my Xray and a pink form to fill in for the couriers and asked me to take a seat.
Twenty minutes later I was called to window 16.
Spoke to a very nice female consular officer who verified my ID, took fingerprints again and asked the following questions:

When did we first meet.
When/ how did we start talking.
How many times have we seen each other in the past 12 months.
What does Shan do for a living.
What do I do for a living and what would I like to do once I'm in the US.
When did we get engaged.
Thank you. You're all good to go...
CONGRATULATIONS NICK, enjoy yourself in the US.

Walked over to the courier place and paid my £14 and off I went one happy Bunny!! Nice and easy tho very stressful!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
