Embassy Review : |
I had my interview at embassy at Zagreb, Croatia. I had scheduled interview at 11 am and I came at 10.45 am. Officer told me to wait 10 min and he called me to enter at 11 am. I had all papers, photos, letters, phone bills...more or less lots of papers with me. First I came to one very nice lady and she told me to give her all papers from the list, she asked me if I have new photos (cause 2 photos that i have sent was not ok). I handed her all the papers and 2 new photos and she said that now they're good. She took my fingerprints and gave me x-ray and medical results (to watch at home and to bring it with me to usa). She asked me if I know everything that i have 90 days when i enter to get married or I should go back and so on. When I told her that i know everything she told me to wait to speak with consul.
I spoke with consul for about 5 minutes. He asked me when did we meet and where (when i said that we met 1998 he asked "what took him so long" and he start to laugh), and who from my family is planning to come for weeding. He didnt ask for no evidence, for no extra paper or clarification.
At the end he told me that somebody will call me tomorrow to tell me that I can come to pick up passport with visa cause they have to print it and everything. And that was it.
Everything was really easy and fast just 25 min
Today i got my pasport with visa and envelope |

Embassy Review : |
I've got at JFK POE at 6.30 p.m. There was little peole and i was first in the line. I came to one window and gave passport, and two forms that i get in airplane to fill in (one for custom and one green). Man said that green form is not ok for me but that i need white one and that i go to begining and fill in again and come to him witout waiting. So i went to fill in and I come back to other window. I gave everything to that officer and he opened that envelope from embassy and only question was why address at papers from embassy and my from forms is not same (my boyfriend moved). He watched everything in 5 minutes putted me all in one green evvelope and send me to other officer. I gave him all papers and he said to wait. After 1 minute he called me and gave me my passport. I asked him could I get EAD and he said that he already stamp me . So all together it was really easy, everybody were very friendly and helpful and really fast. I have done everything includung taking my baggage, changing terminal and check in my baggage again in 30 minutes . |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
