First and only touch was 12-29-08, the approval. Not sure there is a separate Packet 3 and 4 for Croatia. My fiance got his instructions and his appointment letter in the same packet. |

They didn't take too long all in all. Officer asked fiance a lot of questions about me; his mother and sister got sent to another station for about 10 minutes then released; and customs had to get in on the act too. |

My fiance had no problems at Croatia. Everyone was very nice and he was able to get his visa the same day as his interview. If you have any questions, contact me through visajourney and I'll be happy to give more details. |

Embassy Review : |
I could see my fiance and his family from baggage claim. The officer asked him several questions, such as would be asked at the embassy. So be prepared to be questioned. For reasons unknown, his family was then sent to a room and about 10 minutes later were allowed out. Then the customs officer gave us the once-over. I had to explain that my fiance was not bringing any money to support himself because I would be supporting him and that he did not need to support his family because they were returning to their home country. Although it was a hassle, we have to give O'Hare credit for getting us through everything in just an hour. It could have been much worse. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
