Comments : My receipt # was received June 4, 2008.
I received a notice of the transfer of my papers from the Vermont center to the California center on November 6, 2008.
I received a notice by e-mail that my petition was approved via e-mail December 8.2008. I received the actual approval notice on December 16th of 2008. They said they mailed the notice on Dec 10th , 2008. Anyway I am waiting for my Hany to get his papers now.
Soon he will be here.
My Lawyer has screwed everything up from day one. He never sent a 1-129 f0rm and has been equally negligent the whole way. When he sent the visa application and affidavit of support to The NVC he left out all the important papers like the marriage cert. and translation , the birth cert. and the translation, the passport photos and my w-2 form for 2008.
Now I got the translations from him and sent all my papers myself which was June 4,2009. I am waiting for a receipt from the NVC. The NVC received my papers June 8, 2009 and the case was completed on June 22, 2009. Now waiting for interview date.
Well My husband went to interview Sept.2, 2009 and they requested more information and more proof. They wanted me to get a joint sponser or show that I am making more money now. Since no one will be a co- sponser for me I sent recent pay stubs to show I am making more money. But I sent them a letter stating that with my assets that I had enough money for this. And and in black in white wrote the figures out about being over the 125% poverty level with my assets. To make a long story short what they wanted from me was to show that I was in communnication with my husband after 2 years of not visiting there. I sent them from my last trip to Egypt( OCT 09, 2007) my boarding passes and ticket and receipt from the hotel we stayed in. What did it for us was that I e-mailed my husband the telephone records from the past 2 months showing that I call him every single day. It has been a long hard road. We are waiting for him to get his visa . Maybe Sept. 25th!! Then we can book a ticket as soon as possible.
Well We are still waiting ... It has been over 6 weeks since the second interview on Sept. 15th 2009. I called Washington DC and they said the case is pending... Administrative Review. There are no papers missing. So still waiting..........I called my congressman's assistant and within an week she said a visa had been issued Dec. 7th, 2009. My husband recieved his passport back Dec 14th, 2009. Now we are planning to book a ticket for him to come to me.!!!!! OMG!!

Event Description
Review Date : September 21, 2009
Embassy Review : Hany Had Interview Sept 2 2009 All the papers were in order. They requested that We get a joint sponser or show thatI the petitioner am making more money now although what I show with my assets should have been enough. They took his passport from him. The American woman interviewing him showed it in her eyes that he was sure to get a visa... but the other Egyptian woman was making problems.
He finished his interview and while he was sending me papers for the joint sponsorship by DHL in the Embassay he got a call from someone from inside the Embassay saying that he had another interview appointtment on Sept. 15th,2009.Anyway he went to the 2nd interview appt. and the American woman was looking at him like saying What are you doing here??? He whipped out all of his papers to show them everything ...it is a long story... but the American woman said that they have enough and for sure he will get his visa. Ihope I hopw I hopw!!! We are waiting for him to get his passport back.
Rating : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
