Event Description

Embassy Review : Was one of the first ones there for the 8am appointment in sydney. Lined up and had to give photo ID and the interview letter to the security guard, then had to go through security check...same kinda thing as at airports. Then was told to sit down and wait. Approx 10 mins later, the first line of people(myself included) went alltogether on the lift up to level 59, where there was another ID and security check...all which was pretty easy. Then we through to the section where it all happens and was told to take a number for the visa i was applying for and then take a seat. Called up about 10 mins later and had to hand over all the paperwork/info etc that they asked me to bring on my check list, then had to take a seat. Called up shortly after to do the fingerprint scanning, then take a seat again and wait for interview. Only waited bout 5-10 mins and was called up to another window for the interview part(which is how i dealt with everyone i spoke to in this section....behind glass windows). The guy was quite nice and asked only a couple of things. How D and I meet? And when do i intend to enter the us?? After answering the questions, he said " well thats great and your visa has been approved" and that i should have it by next week as they will send it to me in the mail.
All in all...was a good experince and im sooooooo happy i will get to see my baby really soon!!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
