Consulate Review: Moscow, Russia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 5, 2008
Embassy Review : It did not start well as they said that some people were struggling at the windows and the interviews were taking a long time. There was a man and a woman performing the interviews. The woman seemed pleasant, but the man was much more stern. They were called to the man's window. She asked to speak in Russian and was given permission (she states that he was not allowing others before her to interview in Russian). He suddenly became very pleasant. He only asked her 3 questions! How often I was married? How many children? When is the wedding? That's it!! It turns out his Russian was not very good The daughter's interview was in English and they talked as if they were friends. He requested to see our photos, and was very pleased by our pictures. He remarked on our happiness, and wished her a safe journey. "You will have your visas in a week" Interview took all of 5 minutes!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
