Embassy Review : Hello all,

Wanted to post my interview experience today at Cincinnati. I applied based on 5 year permanent residency and got my Permanent residency through marriage with an USC. I reached there about 10 mins before interview. there were some road constructions. I has to wait to for about 20-25 minutes after checking in but they were backed up a little and I needed a little rest to myself too  . The IO was very down to earth and asked me to put my belongings down as he put me to a oath. After checking my Green card and passport , He asked me these as follows :

a)my Name

b) My date of birth

c) My address

d) my phone number

e) about if I have any children

f) went fast through the several YES or NO questions making me answer

g) asked a little about my employment, my wife`s profession and if I had any children.

He was very sure about my selective service non eligibility and though I was ready with my letter , didn't want it. Then he straight away went to he reading section and wanted me to read a line and dictated a line , which was piece of cake. Then he courteously went to the civics question. I answered the first 6 right and passed it ... I had a name change ..he asked me whether I still want it and made me sign a paper and directly gave the date and time of the oath ceremony on a a paper.... told me to take passport and green card to oath ceremony. Also gave me the paper saying I passed and recommended for approval. He asked me no original of what I had sumitted as evidence apart from my passport, green card and my state driving license.

I had a name change request ... He printed out a paper with my original name and changed name and made me read it carefully and sign it. Very professional & courteous yet very friendly.

It was less than 25 mins for the whole process and I have my oath ceremony by this week too . Very down to earth and best IO I have ever seen.

Very nice experience...thought someone may benefit from this.

Thanks to all Visajourney members who has supported me through this journey
Harassment Level : Very Good
