Embassy Review : |
Well all through out my visajourney, I felt that everyone is giving me a hard time, on my Point of Entry however, I gave the US Immigration Officer a heck of a hard time.
Officer: So young lady, can I have your visa packet?
Me: No Sir. I am only giving it to a US Immigration Officer.
Officer: I am a US Immigration Officer.
Me: I have strict instructions. I am only to give this packet to a US Immigration Officer in the USA.
Officer: Ma'am Guam is USA. And this is US Immigration.
Well I know that Guam is a US territory, but I didnt think I would have my point of entry there. I reluctantly gave him my packet. We went thru protocol, asked me my fiance's name, address, date of the wedding etc. Then he reiterated that we need to get married within 90 days. After...
Officer: Welcome to the USA.
Me: Can I have my packet back. (was still not sure if Guam was indeed my point of entry.)
Officer: Nope it stays with me.
Me: Would I be ok without it?
Officer: You should be.
Me: Thank You. (My connecting flight to Honolulu is in 38 minutes.) |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
