Hello. Could you let me know when you got DQ and when you got your interview letter. Seems like the previous VJ person was 07/Aug and you are 29/Sep so I guess there must be a lot of people in japan who aren't on vj. Did you get an email from NVC?

Hi! Sure! I got DQ on July 10th and just received my IL July 31st by email from the NVC. The person you mention was DQ end of May and also had an expedited case which explains their faster processing. I heard the Tokyo embassy is busy and I think you’re right that very few people in Japan update their timelines here. At least the good news is in Japan our processing times are still a lot faster than most other countries so hopefully you’ll hear for news in the near future! Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
