Consulate Review: Caracas, Venezuela
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 25, 2008
Embassy Review : There were two interviews. On the first I did not attend as I was not told it would be necessary. The visa was turned down and I hastily made plans to be there the following week. We entered at 8:30 and submitted our paperwork to a dour lady and hoped that she would not be conducting the interview. After 2.5 hours, we finally met with a young female consular official who could not have been more pleasant. There were a few questions at the window, then we were individually called to meet with her in a room. As we exited the Embassy door I clicked my heels in the air. Finally!!!

For our purposes the Embassy was well organized. They had a shaded seating area outside and drinks and refreshments were available. Cameras nor cellphones were permitted in the Embassy so I believe lockers would have been a worthy addition.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
