In 2012 having only an expired green card went to local USCIS center, they TOOK old green card told us to travel using the letter NOA ....bad advice! many problems re-entering MIAMI. ugh.. Now we are many months past the normal processing time. Had to respond to a RFE and no confirmation of receipt... calling the USCIS on PHONE is almost as bad a calling the Cuban Interest Section...
