*********Interview*******
Tino had his interview August 1st, 2024 at 10am, but arrived around 8:15am. (You can arrive earlier than your appointment time to miss the long wait/line)

Tino lives in Pretoria. The embassy was like 45 minutes away and since we wanted him to be well rested and not have the hassle of early morning traffic, and to be able to arrive on time, we decided to stay at a hotel near the embassy.

Once he arrived he checked in and received a number. Once his number was called he went to a window where the interview would be held.
They asked for his birth certificate, police clearance from Nigeria and Pretoria.

1. Your fiancés name?
2. How did you meet?
3. Have we met in person?
4. When?
5. Does your fiancée have any children?
6. What’s is the child(ren) name?

Took MY (u.s citizen) I-134, most recent tax transcript, W2 and his passport.

Told him APPROVED but his medical is still pending (meaning not received from physician yet) once received they will update status.

Pretty straightforward.

Estimates/Stats :

Embassy Review : Everything was great! If we had any questions regarding timelines or updates the embassy ALWAYS responded to our emails either same day or next, no later. So I really appreciated that!

The interview was well organized, no hassle, nice flow of traffic and straight to the point. From waiting to end if interview it took about an hour.
Rating : Very Good

I see that you received packets 3 and 4 and scheduled your interview for August 1. We have been waiting since June 10 when DHL tracking confirmed the package was delivered, and still haven't gotten packet 3 from the embassy. We have already gotten everything done advance without receiving, including DS-160, medical (Dr Brauer luckily allowed my fiance to do medical without a scheduled interview even though different websites claim you can't do so), police cert, and all our paperwork, so want to get the soonest date possible for his interview. I'm wondering if August 1 was the soonest available date offered to you, or did you push out further in order to complete medical and other stuff? Thanks so much!

I booked my interview before receiving packet 3 - so that is why I pushed the date out to August 1. There is an interview date for July 25th still available. I sent the embassy 3 emails and finally received instructions this morning. My medical was also already booked for July 15th.

We can still change the medical and interview date if we wanted too- but we are okay with our timeline

Hello, can you update your timeline? You had your interview on August 1st, but it says your visa received in June. Some people got their visas in the mail today, please let us know if this is the case, or keep us posted!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
