Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Chicago
POE Date : 2008-07-09
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Actually, I had to go through Dublin International Airport and all of the immigration process was done by the border patrol officer there. It was a breeze, however, I would not recommend going through Dublin because it's an extremely crowded and disorganized airport. The flight on AerLingus was pleasant and they do have an outstanding In-Flight Entertainment system.

I am absolutely grateful and happy that this journey finally comes to an end.

Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 16, 2008
Embassy Review : Hello Everyone!
I had my interview last Friday and I can honestly say it was a breeze. The staff is very helpful at the Frankfurt Consulate and I was basically in and out in no time. The interview was scheduled for 9am, I got there at 8.15 and went in at 8.35am. The entire K1 procedure basically takes place in three steps.
Step 1: You'll receive number and wait it to be called. You'll go to the window and follow the instructions (in German).
Step 2: You'll sit down and wait for your number to be called again. You'll go to the next window and follow instructions and hand over the last documents/evidence.
(in my particular case, the entire conversation took place in German)
Final Step 3: You'll wait for your number to be called again. This will basically be the interview with the consul. He or she will ask you a few questions and if you're lucky (keep my fingers crossed for all of you) the visa will be granted and issued a few days later.
I left the Consulate at 10.25am so therefore it took about 2hrs.
It's a great feeling and a big relief now knowing that visa will be issued next week
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
