Everything went good at the interview. We brought all of the documentation asked of us. We were called up to a window to hand it all in, then to another window to hand in a few other things ( I don't remember what order it was in, our interview was in October). The consul asked us various questions, then asked me to leave the room and asked Luis a few more questions about me, then told us that it was approved pending the updated copy of Luis' birth certificate (which we sent in via DHL in San Isidro - we had problems with the BC because they spelled his 2nd last name wrong and had JUST gotten it fixed in time). We had the visa on the 7th after MUCH running around, and we flew out to the US the next day. How crazy is that? |

Embassy Review : |
Point of entry was easy, other than the fact that we were stuck in immigration because of people ahead of us getting deported etc, etc. We got there, waited on the citizen line and were treated very nicely by the immigration officer. He asked us to wait in the waiting room until we were called. We waited so long that we missed our connecting flight, but otherwise it was a pleasant experience. They wished us good luck. American Airlines rescheduled our flight with no problem and we arrived in NYC 1 hour late. We got to eat some pizza and hang out for a while in the airport while we waited for our next flight, which was nice after all that. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
