We're hoping to get our interview letter this month, which according to other timelines should be on the last Friday of the month. I'll post an update when I have one since it might be useful to others in the same boat. :)

Our medical appointment and document review went well. Here's what my husband has to say about the experience: "It was very easy and the doctor was very nice, so don't be so worried about that part. Just be sure you have your vaccine records. The document review was also quite easy, just be sure you have somewhere to leave your luggage or backpack if you are coming from another city for the appointment. You can't use your phone and have to turn off all electronics inside."

I believe all the cases go into administrative processing until the VISA is actually printed onto the passport.
Could you share a bit more about the interview? What questions did they ask and also how the process was?
Was he told on the spot he was aproved?
We are having our interview in Madrid soon. Thank you!

Thank you for saying that. We are a little nervous out over here but trying to be patient. The interview was relatively simple. They made him take an oath and asked him to speak in English. Then the rest of the interview was in English. They asked questions about his nationality because his nationality is not the same as his place of birth or residency (born in Venezuela, Colombia national, living in Spain since he was young). This led to a few questions about him and why he is applying with a Colombian passport. They asked about his relationship with the joint sponsor (my uncle) and also about where I (his spouse) live. That was about it. He was then told he was approved and welcomed to the United States; they handed him a paper with instructions about what to do next (courier service, entering the U.S., getting a SS #, etc.) They told him 2-3 weeks to get his passport back, but I thought based on other timelines it would be faster. Maybe they tell everyone that and it will end up being sooner. That's what we're hoping! Anyway, that's all I can think of now. I wish you the best and if you have any specific questions please let me know. :)

Thank you very much! That’s very helpful! Hopefully everything goes smoothly!
Did you get any updates yet?

The visa was issued on Friday morning when I checked! So I think we should get the tracking information sometime this week. I'll let you know when we have the passport back so you have an idea of how long it took.

I completely understand! We were nervous too but pleasantly surprised at how kind the immigration officers were and how smoothly the whole experience went. I wish you all the best! Just breathe—you guys have got this and you're almost to the finish line! :)

Also, we did get the tracking number today from Correos and it says the passport will be delivered in one working day. So I think it should get here tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest (it's still in preadmission on the tracking number so I don't think Correos actually has it yet). I booked tickets to move, and we leave next week!

That’s wonderful news!!!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
** Not all cases are transfered
