Biometrics completed at South El Monte office. Our appointment was at 2:00pm.
1:45 - Arrived. Guard checked her appointment notice and (10 day expired) passport. Was given a form to fill out (in pencil) and told to sit in blue chairs until her was shown on the blue chair board.
1:55 - Initial screening for form completeness, then moved to red chairs to wait for same number to be shown.
2:00 - Her number was called and we were taken to the processing area. Fingerprints and photo taken, Appointment notice stamped and signed. Processing took less than 15 minutes. We were asked to fill out a satisfaction card, which we filled out and dropped in the box.
2:15 - Walked out the door :)

AOS Interview
Appointment scheduled for 1:00pm
12:35 - Arrived in the waiting room
1:35 - Called to interview room
1:50 - Approved and shown the exit :)
The officer asked my wife to verify her info: dob, full name, birth place, if she's associated with communist, if she had ever been arrested and if she had ever been deported.
She asked how and when we met, when we were married and how I proposed.
She asked to see copies of joint accounts. I provided copies of two credit card accounts that we have, bank statement with both of us on the account, and medical bills. She also asked to see photos. We showed her a huge stack of more than 150 photos, and also gave her a contact sheet with a few hundred, which she kept. She said that was fine, we didn't need to give the 4x6 prints.
She signed a form and congratulated us and said my wife will receive her 10-year permanent resident card within a couple weeks and told us to make an Info Pass appointment if not received within a month. She also wrote down my wife's married name so the card shows that instead of her married name. She also told us that it will not have a middle name, but she can do that when applying for citizenship. I mentioned that her EAD would arrive this week and she told us to wait until receiving the green card to apply for an SSN since it will arrive soon anyway. The officer was very pleasant and friendly. It couldn't have been any smoother.
Thank you all for the info, and good luck. If anybody has any questions, please feel free to ask. BTW, my wife and I prepared all the paperwork ourselves and everything was processed very fast for us :)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
