Embassy Review : Just a brief review here.

My fiancee got there at approximately 6:45am and she was finished around 12 or so. It was very busy there. She didn't have any problems getting inside.

Before the interview, they called her up to submit her medical report and asked if she had any pictures from the engagement ceremony. She said yes and the lady told her to keep them with her. Then after a while they called her again and took her fingerprints. She had to wait about 3 hours before she was called up for her interview.

Here are the questions they asked my fiancee.

1. Is (-------) your Fiance?
2. How do you know eachother?
3. How did you meet?
4. What are your wedding plans?
5. Is your family planning to attend?

That's all the interviewer asked and he then told her that she has been approved and he congratulated her. She can pick up her passport in 10-15 days. That's all. He didn't ask to see any photos or phone bills, emails..etc.

Overall it was pretty easy. Aside from the long wait, everything was smooth. She mentioned that most of the people were getting approved. Only 2 people were rejected.
Rating : Good

Local US CIS Office Review: Seattle WA

Embassy Review : This is my review for the Seattle USCIS office for my wife's interview for her Green Card.

We were scheduled for 1:30 interview and got there at 1:10. There were quite a few people waiting in the lobby. At 1:20 the USCIS office called us in. He was smiling and very friendly. He explained to us that we will be going over my wife's application just to confirm that everything is still current and up to date.

The first question he asked my wife was "when are you due?" She is 7 months pregnant and it said so in the medical report. He then explained to us that he will read off a name and my wife would have to tell him if she knows that person or not. So he asked, "Do you know somebody by the name of (insert name here). My wife said no, never heard of him. He then asked if she had ever been to California. She again said no. He then said "Good, that's all you needed to say. Just what I needed to hear".

So he continued with the interview. Just went through the I-485 application. Once he was through with that, he asked how we met. My wife explained to him. He said "good". Then he asked me about my work and what I do. He then asked me if I had brought him anything. I showed him all the proof I had. He only took our joint bank statement.

After looking at the pictures and some of the documents I brought with us, he told us that we had been approved. A green card good for 2 years will be coming in the mail in about 2 weeks.

Overall it was a very good experience. The interviewer was very friendly and he was joking and chatting throughout the interview. Even the security officers at the door were nice this time.

Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
