Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 19, 2023
Embassy Review : Interview time was 7:30AM. No problems at all at interview. Interview was conducted by a young American man. Questions asked were: Petitioners name, address, type of work, and if I had been married before. Asked her if she was working, if she had ever been abroad, and if we had any kids together. I-134 was not collected or looked at. She was approved and finished before 10AM.
Rating : Very Good

Just a note for anyone following my timeline: We are not in a position to rush through the medical and interview because my fiancée will be bringing her 2 dogs with her. Dogs are not allowed to fly when the temperature at any stop in below 45 degrees. To be safe, she will not fly until mid-April of 2024.

Hi John, Congrats! Our k-1 visa status shows "Ready" 0n CEAC account but that we have to wait for notification from the US Embassy in Manila to contact my fiance before she can schedule her interview. Was this your experience? We were "Ready" status on Nov 2, 2023 but have not been contacted yet. Thanks Keith

Hi, just wanted to ask, does a Filipino citizen who lives in Doha still needs to undergo CFO (PDOS) when the person has no intention of going back to the Philippines before going to US?
J.M. on 2024-11-20 said:
CFO is only required for those who will depart from within the Philippines. CFO is a Philippine government program, unrelated to US immigration requirements. If departure is from within the Philippines, then yes, it is required, but it is not required for departure from other countries.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
