Consulate Review: Switzerland
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 13, 2008
Embassy Review : I spoke with him yesterday and he said they let everyone in about 8am and then he had to hand in all the paperwork to be checked and the bottom half of the DS-156K was filled out for him and he had to sign infront of the employ checking the paperwork and then took his fingerprints. Then they got called in by groups of 15 into another waiting area where they were called to be interviewed. When it was his turn they called his name and he had an American gentleman interview him who told him to speak Spanish slowly because he had only taken a 6 month course. Then he started asking him questions about how we met, how many times I had traveled to Cuba, when was the last time we saw each other, if he was part of "La Juventud", also I had faxed a letter to them requesting that they move up his appointment because my mom needs brain surgery, so they asked him what my mom suffered from that she needed surgery. Also, in that letter I accidentally wrote the word husband instead of fiance and they questioned him about whether we were married or not, so if any of you ever email or fax them be careful what you write because they defenitly keep records of that stuff. Then after all the questioning he told him congratulations he was approved and that he needed to come back the following day at 2pm to pick up his passport with his visa. I am so excited!!!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
